ReplyDeleteI picked I Miss The Misery by Halestorm
The song starts out with a mid level tempo but then slows down. The Dynamics switch quite frequently. The rythem guitar uses a really good power chords for the chorus. The song sounds very minor. The verses have lower dynamics except for the las one with the distortion effect. They use electric guitars.
Forgot the second paragraph.
ReplyDeleteI picked this song because I love halestorm and there is great guitar. I love songs with a minor key like this one. The singing starts off in a loud dynamic when Lizzy is yelling but is quites down after that

ReplyDeleteThe song that I chose is The Medic by Foxing. I picked this song because it features a nice guitar and honestly the vocals are really great, they give me chills everytime I listen to them. This is my favorite song by them at the moment. I heard this band briefly during Wicker Park Fest last year and even though no one that I was with liked them or wanted to stay at their stage, I really liked them and looked them up when I got home.
The tempo starts really slow with only guitar but within 10 seconds it picks up and vocals along with the rest of the instruments are added. The overall dynamic remains reletively soft but the dynamics of the drums and both dynamic and pitch of the vocals get louder and quieter as well as higher and lower. The band used electric guitars for this song and they're a really nice legato throughout. I think that there's a capo on the 5th fret for the lead and he finger picks instead of using a pick. I believe this song is in a major key which offsets its generally minor nature.

ReplyDeleteThe song that I chose is Eye of the Tiger. I picked this song because it was the first song I learned to play on the guitar. I like the song and its also a fun one to play.
The song has a fast tempo and the dynamics get pretty loud at times. It is all electric guitars and no acoustic. There isn't really and distortion or effects. The The chorus is the "Eye of the Tiger" part which is my favorite part of the song. The song is in a minor key. And it has great power cords which are easy to play on the guitar.

ReplyDeleteThe song I chose was Last Nite by The Strokes. I love this song because it feels upbeat. I also like how Julian Casablanca sings the verses and chorus in a deep and cloudy voice. This song is definitely one of my favorites by this band.
The tempo is quick and the song is played in a major key. The song starts out with an electric rhythm guitar and then the other instruments slowly come in. There doesn't seem to be any effects or distortion in the song. There is a guitar solo halfway through the song. The dynamics of the whole band are legato.

ReplyDeleteI chose Little Black Submarines by The Black Keys. I like this song because in the beginning the dynamics are soft and the tempo is slow, but about halfway through the song it really picks up. After it picks up, the tempo becomes fast and the dynamics get loud. I also like this song because when it's slow, there's an acoustic guitar playing, but when it picks up it changes to an electric.
I chose this song because this was the first song that I heard from them, and I liked it so I looked up more of there music. I really enjoy listening to their songs because they have a unique sound to their music and in the way they play.

ReplyDeleteI picked the song "Lonely Boy" by The Black Keys. I really like this song because it is in a major key. The dynamics of this song are loud and soft through diffrent parts of the song. The tempo is the same way, it slows down and picks up at diffrent points in the song. There is not really a lot of effects in this song, if there are any at all. I really like the chorus as well.
I like how to lyrics are sung loudly and clearly. I also like the entire song equally. Although this has nothing to do with the song, I also like the video.

Sorry for being late, but I really like this song from this band because the tune is a minor key and the dynamics of the song are legato, the tempo of the song is slow with some distortion, it gives a feeling of calmness and sadness put together, and It's definitely a favorable song from the 90's.
